When it comes to tobogganing, the Maisiflitzer Alpine Coaster naturally also takes centre stage in the winter! The toboggan run leads directly past our farm, and is open every day from 10 a.m. The Kohlschnait tobogganing track in Bruck an der Glocknerstrasse is thoroughly recommended for keen tobogganers and archers, as there is also an archery trail here. Other toboggan runs, such as the 1.5 km long track on the Köhlergraben (12 km) or the Guggenbichl toboggan run which is about 3 km away provide even more family fun! In Bramberg am Wildkogel (37 km), you will find the longest lit toboggan run in the world.
When ski mountaineering in the Zell am See region, you will experience the unspoiled nature and mountains of the Hohe Tauern and see breath-taking views on the way to the summit. There are various routes of different levels, some of which lead to the Maiskogel and can be started directly from the farm. Pay attention to the avalanche warnings and weather situation – it is vital.
Do you want to walk in a winter wonderland without skis? We recommend hiking along the groomed routes, or cross-country snowshoe walking to the most beautiful areas. Seeing the wild-romantic side of the region in the tranquillity of nature is a very special experience, and leaves a lasting impression! Guided snowshoe hikes are also on offer.
Whether you decide to ice skate or play ice stock sport, let your winter holiday in our holiday apartments in Kaprun also have an “icy” element to it! Both are extremely sociable winter sports, and pure family fun is guaranteed. You will find an ice rink and an ice stock rink in the centre of Kaprun, next to the fire station, and just 2.5 km from our Oberaigenhof.

For cross-country skiers, Zell am See and Kaprun offer not only a 50 km trail which is optimally groomed every day, but also impressive natural experiences. The trails are designed for both techniques, classic and skate, and lead through snow-covered forests and wide glades – always keeping the imposing Hohe Tauern mountains in sight! You can start the route in the centre of Kaprun, approx. 2.5 km away from our farm, and combine enjoyment and sport in the best possible way through one form of exercise.
Do a few laps of the 3 km-long high altitude cross-country skiing route on the Kitzsteinhorn and experience how effective training at 2900 metres above sea level can be. Anyone who can’t wait any longer can whiz through the snow on cross-country skis on the Kitzsteinhorn already in the autumn. For cross-country skiing in Kaprun, there are also two floodlit trails.
