Excursion tips for families

Sometimes in the summer, you need a break from all that hiking and biking! Then set off on a voyage of discovery and visit one of the many attractions in the Zell am See-Kaprun region, which also promise to be highlights for children. Attractions such as castles, ravines, caves and unique natural sights or cities and interesting museums are waiting for you. Thanks to the central location of our farm, the following excursion destinations are easy to reach by car.

The first Alpine rollercoaster in the Salzburg region – the Maisiflitzer– is just a stone’s throw away from our farm! Also worth visiting are the Ferleiten Zoo & Adventure Park (“Wild- und Freizeitpark Ferleiten”) (22 km), the Hohe Tauern National Park Centre (27 km), the Krimml waterfalls (54 km), the Mooserboden reservoir (18 km), the Kitzlochklamm gorge in Taxenbach (21 km) or Hohenwerfen Adventure Castle and the “World of the Ice Giants” (“Eisriesenwelt”), the world's largest ice cave (both approx. 60 km away). A drive on the famous Grossglockner High Alpine Road or a visit to the Gipfelwelt 3000 on the Kitzsteinhorn – various touristic offers on the mountain top – should be included in your holiday itinerary.

Saunter along, do a little bit of shopping and try culinary delights – you can do all of this in one of the many charming towns and cities which are located near to our farm. You should definitely visit the town of Zell am See, which is just 10 km away, and which buzzes every Wednesday over the summer with the sound of a summer night festival.  The cities of Kitzbühel (52 km), Saalfelden (25 km) and Salzburg, the City of Mozart (110 km) are also worth a visit.

In the Tauern Spa World which is just 3 km you will quickly forget your stressful daily life, and your strained muscles can recuperate in this “spa temple”.  It is easy to recharge your batteries in this modern spa resort!  Several indoor and outdoor pools and a large sauna make that possible.
